<description>This "dead-bug" or "skeletal" creation was a high voltage experiment I did a long time ago. It runs from the mains supply and produces a stream of high voltage pulses on the output via a 6kV xenon trigger transformer. I added a rough twist to make the trigger point ramp to give a scripting neon effect where the light seems to travel along the tube. The radio posse will hate this circuit with a vengeance, because it is probably quite electrically noisy. But it achieves usable effects with a minimum of components. For simple low intensity indoor neon art it could be quite useful. Feel free to suggest improvements. For a simpler non ramping stream of pulses the first improvement could be simplifying the circuitry with a sidac.
