<description>Today I'm being a big kid, rocking the boat and operating VHF QRP from a local park. If you like what you see buy the book! Visit http://home.alphalink.com.au/~parkerp/miniqrp.htm It's early morning so I have it all to myself. Including its coveted peak, atop the playground's slide. The simple antennas here are capable of contacts up to 50 - 100km. If you can do a little better you should. A small beam will double your distance, and probably quadruple the number of grid locators workable - important in contests like the VHF field days. But the setup here will get you started and on the air. Especially for those without antennas for some bands/modes their equipment covers.
