        <title>REVEALED: The Tasting Turntable!</title>

<description>My GitHub... https://github.com/deviantollam My web site... https://deviating.net I'm very excited about this one, folks. This has been a passion project of mine for a while and I finally made the time to get it done. No, I'm not offering this for sale or anything like that (the labor involved alone on my end would make it ludicrously not cost-effective to do them in one-off batches and I have no plans to mass produce them) but I have put all the design files up on my GitHub (link above) if you have access to a laser cutter or a CNC wood mill like a ShopBot and you want to make your own! This #TastingTurntable is designed to allow double-blind whiskey tasting (or any beverage or food tasting, really) without the assistance of outside help. During this pandemic, we're all still isolating in our homes and whatnot, so this is a way to assist with your drinking (or even eating) needs even if you're by yourself. Extra special thanks to Robert Cole who helped me translate my design files into something that the laser cutter could digest and to Don Golgert of Fremont Laser + Design here in Seattle for allowing me some machine time even as they were shutting their doors for good that final week. The assembly of all the pieces once you've lasered things out can be done with wood glue. The bearing underneath is this Lazy Susan offering from Amazon... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KDPCJ27 ^ 12" diameter model (more stability) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KDPDP7F ^ 8" diameter model (smoother operation, in my experience) If you try this out yourself, please feel free to Tweet or Instagram some photos and tag me (@deviantollam on either site) and drop the tag #TastingTurntable if you use this for taste tests of you own! Even if you're stuck by yourself, now it's possible to set up and operate a blind taste test without anyone else's help. Stay self-sufficient, stay satisfied, and stay safe out there!</description>
