        <description>This is a demonstration of the AM reception capabilities of the Sony SRF-59 Walkman receiver. Despite being a small set it delivers impressive reception.  Sensitivity is above average. Selectivity is a good compromise between fidelity and adjacent channel rejection and was superior to the Optimus 12-603A (normal bandwidth) and similar to the National Panasonic GX-3.  The ferrite rod is of good quality and delivers sharp nulls. The local signal being nulled was 3CR (855 kHz). The distant signal was not identified but is likely to be from Queensland.
