A look at the Realistic DX-392 multiband receiver which came out c1997. It was a version of the Sangean ATS818 that had a cassette recorder. It covered long, medium, short and FM, offering continuous shortwave coverage. Also offered as a BFO for SSB reception. The set would have been one of the top of the line models sold by Radio Shack/Tandy stores. Video includes a band scan of various frequencies, especially FM broadcast in the Melbourne area and some shortwave bands. You can start your eBay shopping for similar receivers here: http://ebay.us/O6uXik (Note: I get a small commission per item sold - no extra cost to you) PS: If you liked this video please consider supporting Amateur Radio VK3YE by: Subscribing on YouTube, Checking my books page at https://books.vk3ye.com, Shopping on Amazon via: https://amzn.to/3iiDQXv , or, Shopping on eBay via: https://ebay.us/i9DuWP (then if you buy something I'll get a small commission at no cost to you)
