This is one of the absolute best explanations I've ever seen concerning the difficulties that sex educators, sex workers, and sex rights activists face when they engage in public discussion either at events or online. "Just because someone is talking about sex, that does not mean that they have consented to receiving your pantsfeelings!" they explain. And Kit goes on to further clarify that, "Just because someone exists does not mean that they have consented to receiving your pantsfeelings," which covers it quite nicely! Kit (who did a marvelous job of dealing smoothly with non-working conference A/V, more speakers should be able to roll with it like that!) has also pointed out that the term was first coined by Captain Awkward (@CAwkward - see https://captainawkward.com/tag/pantsfeelings) whose blog you folk may surely enjoy. 😃 Further awesome update... we're told that this clip is now being shown in schools during lessons about consent. How cool is that? https://twitter.com/katemhilton/status/1046885575205236742
