At over 7 metres long, safely and comfortably accessing the full length of the machine required a proper solution. So Kurtis set out to design and build a custom platform from scratch using SHS, tread plate, levelling feet and plenty of fabrication work. The entire build was planned around the tread plate sheet sizes to minimise waste and make the most of the material. From cutting the frame, fitting internal supports and controlling weld distortion, through to installing the tread plate and craning the finished platform into position, every step had to come together perfectly. The final result completely changes how the machine can be used, now it’s far easier to operate, maintain and work around.
