I've already charged my biochar, prepared control and biochar garden beds, and started planting. Now that the field trial is underway, I thought I'd share with you some of the details of how I'm conducting the trial, and I welcome your feedback on ways to improve it. OYR is all about growing a lot of food on a little land using sustainable organic methods, while keeping costs and labor at a minimum. Emphasis is placed on improving soil quality with compost, mulch, and compost tea. No store-bought fertilizers, soil amendments, pesticides, compost activators, etc. are used.
