The uniforms and equipment I am taking up there are based off of two things. First and foremost, One Shepherd has a prescribed gear list and uniform section posted on their website. This contains both their required and optional items so please go there and read over these pages/lists if you will be attending the training. Secondly, my training and experience as an Infantryman in the United States Marine Corps. Through my career as an infantry Marine I have had the privilege of deploying to both Iraq and Afghanistan. Through those deployments I have faced both a traditional standard and more organized mechanized enemy force (Iraqi Army & Republican Guard units), as well as Insurgents. Fighting these two different types of enemies have taught me valuable lessons in Infantry related tactics and equipment considerations.
