        <description>Whenever you plant potatoes you have a lot of soil exposed for a long time until the potatoes can shade out the soil surface.  I am trying to interplant fava beans as a cover crop with potatoes to help shade the soil, feed the soil, generate biomass, and fix nitrogen.
