<description>Morning: 160 metres AM from Seaford's second pier. Featured briefly in a previous pedestrian mobile video, this is the first time this location has been used for 160 metres AM. Compared to the main Seaford Pier it's less crowded and has a great stainless steel counterpoise that's easy to hook up to. As you'll see the weather was unseasonly pleasant for a midwinter's day. Evening: Digging out an old 160 metre DSB rig for the Trans-Tasman 160 metre contest. This is a direct conversion set made 20 years ago and for me was the DSB transceiver that started it all. Operation was from home, using the G5RV as a top loaded vertical. Only VK3 contacts were had with this setup, though VK2s, 5s and 7s were worked earlier with the 100 watt rig in the background.
