Medium frequency radio reception - AX2VKW on 507 kHz

This is a companion to the previous 'VK3XU on 137 kHz' video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8opnlVjWD8 . This time reception is on 507 kHz, using the same converter and receiver as before. 507 kHz is not an amateur frequency in Australia. However access to it has been provided to experimental station AX2VKW. This station is currently being used by Drew VK3XU to operate a CW beacon on weekend afternoons. 507 kHz signals over the 50km path were strong, and superior to both 137kHz and 1800kHz. Its superiority over LF is likely to be due to more efficient antennas and its superiority over 1800kHz is likely due to its longer groundwave signal.
