<description>Rosemary is a great herb and it will over winter in many locations. I am in Maryland Zone 7 and it comes back each year. It germinates poorly and slowly. You should start this herb 8-10 weeks before last frost. You can really grow it inside or in a greenhouse for 12 weeks before getting it in the ground. Starting early will allow you to harvest leaves for the current year's use. So start rosemary early! New to Gardening? Check out my 2nd Gardening YouTube Channel dedicated to New Gardeners.
