<description>Trying an unfinished direct conversion transceiver with a wide-swing super-VXO (2 crystals in parallel). Receiver is RF amp + balanced mixer + audio premap + LM386 direct conversion. Transmitter has IRF510 final. No sidetone, RIT or frequency offset makes operation clunky. Also features a pile-up on 20m and the cacophany of a hundred stations calling. It demonstrates the open-ness of a direct conversion receiver with minimal filtering.
