How to Be Efficient- Siding the Great Wall

The previous video covered lay out and framing of the Great Wall. In a 7 hour time period we were able to frame and sheathe this 44' x 25' tall wall. Now let's move on to the siding. This wall took 100 pieces of LP Smartside, had 4 windows to set, detail and trim and then we installed all the soffits. All this in a about 5 hours. Efficiency isn't about how fast you move, but the processes themselves. Repeatable systems and always looking to improve are what lead to production. Of course its good to move and sweat too. See the time stamps below for specific portions of the video and please remember, we aren't showing the best way to do something, just the methods that are currently best for us. Oh if you use a drone for commercial work, you need to be part107 certified. Commercial work includes social media like YouTube if you plan to make an income off of that. I watched a video about this last May and then purchased the Part 107 Course https://sso.teachable.com/secure/245841/checkout/1320802/bundle-remote-pilot-plus-maneuvers?coupon_code=FRAMERS100&affcode=245841_0eauthdo I studied and learned for 1 month and then took my test. I scored a 95%, which is a testament to how good Greg and the crew over there teach. That link will save you $100 off the course and support this channel. 0:00 Intro and set up 1:03 Setting windows 5:21 Trimming windows and siding layout 8:54 Siding begins 10:05 Pan flashing 14:39 Proper nailing of the SmartSide lap 16:00 More siding install 😂 19:18 Progress update 19:30 No measure, no angle rake siding? 22:34 Progress update, we are flying! 22:44 Overhangs 24:11 We done! 24:57 Drone footage thanks for watching! https://www.jlconline.com/how-to/framing/rake-wall-framing_o https://www.finehomebuilding.com/project-guides/framing/a-better-way-to-build-tall-walls https://www.overdrivenfastener.com/ https://zipsystem.com/ https://www.apawood.org/fully-sheathed-walls https://bit.ly/2021SpecialDesignProvisionsforWindandSeismic Wood Framed Shear Walls by Thor Matteson https://amzn.to/3wxh8Eh https://www.jlconline.com/how-to/framing/shear-walls-the-basics_o https://www.apawood.org/nail-base-sheathing website https://www.awesomeframers.com/blog Instagram https://www.instagram.com/awesomeframers/ https://www.tiktok.com/@awesomeframers Company https://pioneerbuildersonline.com/ https://www.youtube.com/c/PioneerBuildersInc ISOtunes Bluetooth Hearing Protection - https://bit.ly/Timmy10 (10% off code: Timmy10) AwesomeFramers hat or anything Truewerk 15% off (use Timmy 15 if the link doesn't show the discount. https://truewerk.com/collections/workwear-shirts-hats/products/trucker-hat-tim-uhler-awesome-framers Check out AwesomeFramers Logo! https://tspr.ng/c/new-awesomeframers-logo badgertoolbelts.com #building #construction #framing W2QFMVBKFPKEBEQV W2QFMVBKFPKEBEQV SPS8PLCVBMRV3ZW1 SPS8PLCVBMRV3ZW1 SPS8PLCVBMRV3ZW1 BSZV7FFI0QMYHKNQ
