I love shearing day, although long and hard work, the ewes look so much cleaner, brighter and lighter. I use Instagram Stories daily in my sheep barn. And up until now, I’ve had no problems with showing the truth behind what I do everyday. But today… Today INSTAGRAM BLURRED MY SHEARING VIDEOS! At first I was like whatever…and kind of laughed about it. But as the day progressed, I got more upset. Upset that in this world of choice and freedom of speech, they blocked mine. My choice to raise livestock. My choice to share a chore that is mandatory for animal welfare. My choice to show how it is done properly. And this scares me. The fact they can block one entire side of a choice, a profession. I am all about respecting people’s values and beliefs…but what about mine?
