        <description>The rough tuning of the DX392 made it a pain to use when manually tuning the shortwave or amateur bands. The problem is the receiver is designed to mute between frequency steps. The modification described cuts a circuit board track to remove the mute and make tuning easier. It applies to the DX392/ATS818CS (ie the unit with the tape recorder).
