<description>I got sick of her cooking (well, just a part of it), then I got the nerve to say something. What happened next led us to Jill Winger (now one of our food prepping heroes). Jill's free cooking course: http://bit.ly/HeritageCookingCourse This is how it began… When my wife and first got married she did all the cooking. She is a wonderful cook, so that worked out nicely. She loved Broccoli and served it almost every night. To tell you the truth, this wasn’t so bad. I love Broccoli too (second to cabbage of course 😉 Well, all this Broccoli wasn’t bad until the seventh time, and it didn’t look like there was a break in site. I don’t know if it was my nativity (I was just 22), but somehow I got the nerve to politely say, “Is there anyway we could have some other veggies besides broccoli?” Being the wonderful wife she is, she didn’t take offense and this challenged her to explore other veggies. NOTE: Please remember we were young, and didn’t grow up on a wide variety of vegetables. Anyway(s) we started to eat more veggies. Eventually we started to grow more of that food. But, as we expanded our desire to eat more food, how do you actually cook it? So we asked Mr. Google Pants, but he spewed out ALL kind of ideas. (Crazy ideas. Unhealthy ideas. Difficult Ideas etc…) Then this lady name Jill at the Prairie homestead kept coming up and it was all these simplified, easy to follow, farm fresh (old fashioned) style recipes. Jill became a heroes. She became a critical home cooking guide. If you don’t already follow Jill, and you’re in need of some simplified inspiration for cooking old fashioned (farm fresh) food, then I think you’ll benefit from following Jill. More on how I think Jill can help you in a second. Fortunately we got to visit her and her family in Wyoming on the Great American Farm Tour in 2017. And, we found out first hand, she’s the real deal. If you haven’t met Jill, I think you oughta.. Watch the video and there’s a bit of a micro documentary on her and her farm. Jill is like the modern day Ma Ingalls. She has a way of cherishing America’s farm fresh heritage meals while giving easy to follow recipes that accommodate our fast paced modern lifestyle. That’s why I was so excited when she came out with a free heritage cooking course. Among other things she’ll be talking about How to safely can veggies, broth and meat in a pressure canner, How to Cure Ham and summer Sausage, How to make a non fussy sourdough bread recipe, How to make mozzarella in 30 minutes, How to Turn Veggies (any kind) into Probiotic goodness (medicine), Jill’s offering this free class for a limited time from March 11th - 15th. All you have to do is sign up. I’ve left the link in the description. Knowing Jill you won’t be disappointed.
