        <description>Using a Pixie QRP CW transceiver kit to make a QRP AM transmitter. Only a few extra parts are needed to allow the Pixie to transmit AM. Video describes how it's done and demonstrates reception from 300km away. Thanks to Jonathon VK7JON for the reception recording.  One thing to note with the Pixie kits is that sometimes they're supplied with different parts to that on the diagram. Where it's a bypass capacitor it doesn't matter a lot whether they are 10nF or 100nF. However the coupling capacitor between the Q1 stage and Q2 stage is shown in other circuits as 100pF whereas 10n was supplied.
