Shooters must use active or passive IR (no white light), and we have ten stages over two nights. It is not just a rifle match held at night, but rather a match designed from the ground up to test nighttime skills. I was planning to use a CETME-LV with its period PVS-4 copy night scope, but the scope stopped working on the first night of the match (arg!). Instead, I borrowed a rifle on the spot from another competitor - an AR build with a PEQ-15 laser aiming module. Despite being a true battlefield pickup sort of situation, I had a really good time and actually performed really well, taking 14th place overall out of 137 shooters!
