<description>https://forms.gle/HspdPuLFtSBDsFHK7 - Interested in a one on one hour long consultation with Sean? This link goes to an intake form and has a link to a scheduling calendar (no payment is asked for up front) Table of Contents: 00:00 - Intro to concept and orientation 2:08 - Managing weeds in nursery and guilds 4:43 - Specific plant recommendations for neighbor 7:22 - Starting a nursery with Etsy, etc. 10:39 - Diversified farm / nursery design 16:59 - Thank you and Last Notes Specific questions in fullness: Daniel: How do you control burdock in a nursery bed and how do you control creeping Charlie in a guild Christine: I live in a city and I want to plant fruit trees in the empty lot next to my house but I don't want to block my grumpy neighbor's view. Can you recommend fruit trees/bushes that would do well and produce a lot of fruit even if they are kept short (below 6 feet, which is the height of his fence) Dan: I am interested in selling excess plants as I begin a silvopasture project on my farm. I would like to do online sales and limit traveling to sell at farmers markets. I don't have any real web skills, and was thinking about setting up an account and using Etsy. I find a lot of interesting seeds and plants there so it looks like a good place to start. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this. A better plan is welcome. Shalane: What would be your best suggestion on how to market a new local herb farm/nursery with a focus on the importance of implementing car permaculture growing principles? What do you think is a good place to start? I’m just starting out on our new property and want to bring something totally different than what my area (Gaines Pennsylvania) has to offer. I’m hoping to offer some different dried herbs to friends and local herbalists but also have nursery stock growing for future sales and an elderberry orchard with options for a “u-pick” later on. Have a multifaceted business that grows things differently than the regular greenhouses and big box places. I know more about the growing part than the business/marketing aspect. I’m probably trying to throw too much info in here because I’m excited to have your ear for a minute. I’ve been hoping your consultations would open up soon.
