The main thing on some parts is making sure they dont distort. Full strength full penetrated welds is not really important because the magnetic base it will hold only weighs about 5 pounds. What is important is flatness because it the clamp halves are not flat, they will wobble and the dial indicator wont work right...so I am using clamps to hold down the parts while welding. That makes welding a bit more difficult but is very necessary.</description>
