Broccoli for June harvests, and sow again in June

June broccoli from a sowing in the greenhouse 28th February, then we planted it on 31st March, without hardening off. The plants were under fleece in April, then under a mesh cover in early May. I removed the cover on 17th May so that we could start to harvest some of the early growth. Since then the heads have become bigger and side-shoots also have developed, after cutting the main head. This variety is a tenderstem type, Bellaverde Sibsey F1, and the stalks are beautifully long and sweet. You can sow again now, and until solstice, for harvests in September until early November, depending on your climate. My garden is 8b climate zone with mild winters, but cool summers. The daytime temperature currently is averaging 18°C 64°F, night times 11°C 52°F. Growing these plants with no dig gives top results, no feed or fertiliser. The nutrient supply from undisturbed soil with compost mulch is very even, and works for all vegetables. You can see the superb health and abundance here.
