Because of a cool conversation with a friend, IanSpy, who was checking out this eGeeTouch RFID padlock (un-sponsored amazon link here... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071XFCGVV ...although I'm not certain why anyone would want one of these) I opted to grab one to play with... so you don't have to spend your money on it! It's a fine example of a variety of problems that products like this often have. Aside from the annoying smartphone control software and the unit's tendency to get stuck in strange error states... the manner in which the lock authenticates tokens -- despite the advertised use of "encrypted & high security NFC technologies" -- is wildly insecure. Enjoy! this is my personal web site. most things i create wind up online... https://deviating.net this is my company. we're good at stuff... https://enterthecore.net this is where i train. come and learn badass skills... https://redteamalliance.com
