It is clipped and glued together so tightly that opening it will result in broken plastic and sadness. But now I've well and truly broken mine, I can say that the circuitry is quite acceptable, even if a higher power lithium cell would have been nice for a longer run time. Here are the electrical stats:- 14500 lithium cell marked as 500mAh. Standby current at 4.2V = 2uA. LED current at 4.2V (fully charged cell) White = 141mA TNT Red = 81mA Creeper green = 86mA Steve Blue = 90mA LED current at 3V (low cell charge) White = 56mA Red = 39mA Green = 26mA Blue = 21mA In use the intensity will start at a higher level and drop gradually as the cell discharges until the microcontroller shuts the light off at 3V. This torch is probably a clone of another product and came from AliExpress:- https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005009446252202.html In a way I feel that this light would have been much more practical if it had just had a simple on/off toggle of a warm white LED. It doesn't have to be bright for the visual effect and the run time could be much higher. A PIR sensor would have been even better, since the torch would only be lit while you were in the vicinity, giving a very high run time per charge.
