Sarah picks a bunch of them to make Sumac-ade (or Sumac Punch) which tastes much like fresh lemonade. Our family will taste the special sweet treat with dinner. The girls bake for the farmer's market. Also, we harvest potatoes, more cucumbers, tomatoes and green beans. While smooth sumac and staghorn sumac are edible, there is a version of sumac that is poisonous.
