This short video demonstrates the slight differences of the "phillips" screws found on Japanese manufactured electronics and products. The very subtle differences in geometry cause ordinary Phillips screwdrivers and bit to not fit very well which can lead to damaging the screws. These screws are made to the Japanese JIS standard. Screwdrivers made to the JIS standard are available and should be part of your toolbox if you work on or repair any Japanese manufactured electronics and other devices & products.
