<description>I'm not taking any chances with my tomatoes this year. Though I usually have them in the ground by now, this year's unpredictable and cold weather has made me cautious. The last thing I want is to lose them to an unexpected frost. So, my tomatoes are still in pots and, with help from my cold frames, I've been gradually hardening them off over the last couple weeks. OYR is all about growing a lot of food on a little land using sustainable organic methods, while keeping costs and labor at a minimum. Emphasis is placed on improving soil quality with compost, mulch, and compost tea. No store-bought fertilizers, soil amendments, pesticides, compost activators, etc. are used.
