The columns were replaced, the fir deck was replaced, and now apprentice Nathan Gilbert is working on a new ceiling. The homeowners chose a traditional fir bead board that they will either paint or stain in the future. Nathan explains to Kevin O’Connor how he takes a measurement from the center of the front door to one end of the porch.
