<description>For years I wished I lived in a climate where I could grow perennial tree collards year round. But since a move to zone 8 to 10 isn’t likely to happen in the near future, I decided I’d see what I could do with tree collards here in zone 5. OYR is all about growing a lot of food on a little land using sustainable organic methods, while keeping costs and labor at a minimum. Emphasis is placed on improving soil quality with compost, mulch, and compost tea. No store-bought fertilizers, soil amendments, pesticides, compost activators, etc. are used.
