Making compost is an EXPENSIVE WASTE OF TIME (at least for me)...

People always ask - How do you make your compost? I don't. For me, in my context, it doesn't make sense - (no large amount of readily available biomass, expensive water, and a large need for compost). Given those constraints it's easier and cheaper (factoring in the cost of time) to buy the compost that I do need. If it's fun that's one thing, but if you are trying to make all of your own compost on a small land base, it's probably not a realistic goal. And effort is likely better focused elsewhere if food production is your goal.
