This is a competition where shoots essentially mag dump onto targets with bolt action rifles and iron sights, which yielded one of the most versatile shooting systems... and SIG Sauer turned it into a sniper rifle: the SSG 3000. Designed way ahead of it's time, the SSG 3000 is a bolt-action, detachable magazine rifle with a user-serviceable barrel (easy barrel swaps) and is chambered in .308, but we re-chambered this rifle back to it's 6.5x55mm roots to shoot the ye-old swedish cartridge on steroids: the 6.5x55 SKAN. How does it do?
