Insect vegetable dusts are very effective and often kill insects almost instantly. Most insecticide dusts, even organic dusts, are non discriminate killers. I think they have value in the garden and I use them this way... 7 PM dust the plants and 7 AM wash the dust off them. 12 hours is enough time to kill the unwanted insects.
