While nothing is 100% secure many people thought that DECT and 5.8GHz phones were safe. While dect has been broken for a fairly long time 5.8GHz phones were considered to be safer than 900mhz phone as scanner are harder to come by in the microwave bands. With the advent of cheap SDR it is very possible to listen to an intercept any phone call you want. This of course would be very illegal to do on someone's phone line however I want to show you the dangers of these phones as well as allow those interested in this type of technology the opportunity to see how these phones work if they don't have access to them.
