        <description>Dwarf French beans are easy to grow as long as you wait for the warmth of early summer. It can be tempting to sow them in mid- to late spring, but results often are relatively disappointing. In my and many other climates, June is the best month for sowing, even the first month of July. In the southern hemisphere that would be December going into January. For this video and to fit our filming schedule, I sowed earlier. You can see the extra trouble. I went to in order to provide warmth, using a fleece cover, and even extra fleece when there was a frost on 6th May. Which is not unusual here.
