I took all my April/May lambs from 2019 and compared them to my April/May lambs of 2020. I took the average market price I was paid last year, and this year to see if I truly did lose money. What I found is that market price is only but one factor involved in the overall success of the lamb business. We can't really control the fluctuations of market price, but we can hone in on what we can control through production improvements to really soften the blow of a dictated price.
