(Hybrids Not GMO's) In August I was invited to the All America Selections (AAS) vegetable trial grounds in California. A trial ground is where they independently judge new varieties of vegetables. I got to see all that goes into the judging and into creating new hybrid seed varieties. I was simply amazed. I will be doing a series next year on different AAS Winners. I really didn't understand all the work that went into creating a hybrid and the scale of independent judging that is done (across North America) to only bring the best varieties to... well you and I.
