<description>Here's some good news, there's now a way to upgrade currently installed instances of DragonOS FocalX. That's not to say I won't make a new ISO, but hopefully I can keep it to where someone's able to upgrade to a new release without a complete reinstall. This video covers how to add an optional PPA which is where I'll push new updates from (currently). I also show how a new program like SparkSDR can be installed using apt. https://github.com/alphafox02/focalx_ppa SparkSDR combined with the RSP1A is then used to decode WSPR. More info on SparkSDR and WSPR here, https://www.sparksdr.com https://www.wsprnet.org/drupal/wsprnet/map The nice thing about DragonOS FocalX is that everything SparkSDR needs to decode FT4, 8, WSPR, etc. is already installed. Plus the required SDRPlay API is also made available. So SparkSDR is able to provide the frontend to the SDR, in this case the RSP1A, but also the decoded information all in one graphical user interface. It also provides a way to upload decoded results to various sites, such as WSPRnet. Follow @cemaxecuter on Twitter for more DragonOS and SDR info.
