<description>In this video I rewire a customer’s small utility trailer from the plug all the way back to the tail lights. This is a very simple repair job and honestly one that almost anybody can do at home with a few basic tools and some patience. Most of these trailer light kits are all about the same quality and here in the salt belt they simply do not last very long. Between road salt, moisture, bad grounds, and exposed wiring, these little trailers spend half their lives trying to electrically dissolve themselves into the pavement. If this were my own trailer I would convert everything over to sealed rubber-mounted LED assemblies with better protected wiring. Those setups survive much longer and hold up far better to corrosion and vibration. But on a small inexpensive utility trailer, it is hard to justify paying shop labor to fully custom wire one. So in this video I show a practical and affordable repair using a standard trailer wiring kit to get everything working again safely and reliably. Simple DIY work, straightforward wiring, and an easy project for beginners. Need access to wiring diagrams and repair info for your vehicle without breaking the bank?
