Alinco DJ-MD5 dual band DMR hidden ZONE display setting! Great news for HAM radio operators.

The original display setting in my Alinco MD5 dual band DMR drove me nuts with an alternating zone and talkgroup display. Plus, I didn't like having the sub band displayed all the time either. It took me AGES to find the setting that enables the Zone heading to remain on. That's because the item that needs to be changed is called "Digital Contact". Who would have guessed that? This video shows how to disable the Digital Contact display in order to leave the Zone display on all the time. I used the Alinco CPS v1.12 found on the download tab of the link below. My radio runs firmware v 1.13c. https://www.remtronix.com/land-mobile-radio/digital-radios/dj-md5/ Have you found any oddly named settings on your Alinco? Are there any MD5 videos you would like to see? Comment below, and thanks for watching 😃
