QRP VHF beacon and 10 MHz Wadetenna pedestrian mobile tests

This video is about two things. The first bit does some range tests with a one transistor milliwatt VHF radio beacon. Despite the low power good signals were heard 5km away. For information about permissible frequencies and power limits download the Low Interference Potential Devices Class Licence from acma.gov.au (or equivalents in other countries). The second half shows some 10 MHz SSB contacts made in about 1 - 2 hours operating. Distances up to 800km were spanned.
