<title>Schlage Touch Camelot Deadbolt being attacked by JC in OKC</title>

<description>The original post of this video is here... http://www.amazon.com/review/RBAKTXT0G6MYS ... but it's also being shared here in case you can't play Amazon video clips easily. This attack was demonstrated in a product review by JC in OKC... http://www.amazon.com/gp/pdp/profile/AM9APPMIE1BHZ/ref=cm_cr_rdp_pdp ... and as you can pretty plainly see, there is a mechanical linkage which shouldn't engage the thumbturn handle on the exterior with the boltwork (unless a PIN code is entered first) but with a small hole drilled on the bottom of this front facia, it appears to be possible to make the thumb-turn handle fully functional without any PIN code or other electronic credential. As JC points in in his review, this isn't a surreptitious attack (it almost wouldn't even qualify as covert, I'd say) but it's a totally feasible vector and one that is possibly not going to be noticed by the victim upon first arrival back at their property. Let's hope that this deadbolt either gets updated with some anti-drill shielding or that the interconnect mechanism is revised in future versions.</description>
