        <description>http://www.edibleacres.org After a very rapid thawing of 12" of snow coupled with heavy rain, there is a tremendous amount of water moving through the landscape.  One area where I generate compost had water leaching out the compost tea and depositing it in the lawn... No good.  So with a dam of woodchips and fresh trenching the water and nutrients can be directed into the main garden where its useful.</description>
