        <description>I was up in the mountains with my radio gear, and was fascinated to see how well the Alimco DJ-MD5 DMR HT performed compared to the Uniden Bearcat BCD325P2 scanner. The scanner costs more than double the price of the Alinco. I didn't actually think of testing the DMR decode while I was there - perhaps I'll try that next time I hike the trails. Goes to show that frugal radios can outperform more expensive units! Prices correct as of 31st May 2020 from HRO. Have you noticed particularly good reception on your Alinco DMR radio?
