In this episode we highlight a different approach to the issue - direct opposition. The Eleutharian College and surrounding community decided to openly violate the 1850 Fugitive Slave act by not only harboring freedom seeking slaves but educating them in the process via one of the country's first integrated schools. While this is not technically an Old West Vignette, it certainly falls into the category of the sort of history we attempt to bring to InRangeTV.
