DIY Front Crank Seal: oil leak repair (all engines!)

Time for a little weekend wrenching! My '96 Mercury Mystique 2.0L is still leaking a bit of engine oil from the oil pan area onto the hot exhaust downpipe and creating an unpleasant odor. Replacing the oil pan gasket during the clutch job helped a bit, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RDr9qYqrI4&t=480s) but there seems to be another source: the front crankshaft seal! Let's change out this tired front crank seal. I even obtained a special recommended seal puller for the job, the OTC 303-409: https://www.ntxtools.com/network-tool-warehouse/OTC-303-409.html However, I discover that sometimes a little creative improvisation works BETTER than fancy special tools! Enjoy! Ivan
