TLDR; The RADAR, LIDAR, and cameras DID detect and classify pedestrian bicycle correctly. The system DID determine that emergency braking was required. But Uber disabled the systems emergency braking feature in autonomous mode. Uber also disabled Volvo's inbuilt pedestrian safety detection system. There is also no system to alert the driver that the system detected an emergency braking scenario. Uber are rooted.
