Since most of the walls on the main floor were balloon framed, we have to install ledgers and then the joists. Its easier to install the ledgers, then plumb and align the walls. Install drywall backing before sheathing the floor. We use Advantech subfloor and Advantech Subfloor Adhesive to glue the sheathing down.
