<description>We like to start wall framing with garage walls. Its easier to frame them on a nice deck and lift them in with the forklift. In this video we are going to go over shooting control points for wall heights. Then we'll frame the garage door wall, add soffits before lifting, frame a rake wall add soffits and side it before lifting, how to handle a heavy glulam alone and then lift it in. Oh and besides run on sentences, I'll show you how easy it is to align the Stabila LA180L. You just need the touch is all. Please remember I'm not showing the best way, just the way that works well for us. Its all a work in progress. Thanks for watching. Oh if you use a drone for commercial work, you need to be part107 certified. Commercial work includes social media like YouTube if you plan to make an income off of that. I watched a video about this last May and then purchased the Part 107 Course https://sso.teachable.com/secure/245841/checkout/1320802/bundle-remote-pilot-plus-maneuvers?coupon_code=FRAMERS100&amp;affcode=245841_0eauthdo I studied and learned for 1 month and then took my test. I scored a 95%, which is a testament to how good Greg and the crew over there teach. That link will save you $100 off the course and support this channel. 0:00 Aligning the Stabila LA180L by hand 4:05 Method to our madness 4:49 Control points with a rotary laser (Stabila LAR350 6:50 Laser plumb bob 7:21 Framing the garage first 11:23 Squaring the wall for sheathing 13:20 Efficient use of material 14:11 Router on a pole 16:20 Soffit framing before lifting 18:51 Lifting in the wall 20:02 Garage rake wall siding and soffits 23:56 No measuring, no marking (aka no needle, no scalpel) 25:04 Closed gable soffit framing 27:59 Setting the gable 29:37 Tying the walls together 30:55 Cutting a 550lb beam alone 33:18 Setting the beam https://www.apawood.org/fully-sheathed-walls https://www.jlconline.com/how-to/framing/shear-walls-the-basics_o website https://www.awesomeframers.com/blog Instagram https://www.instagram.com/awesomeframers/ https://www.tiktok.com/@awesomeframers Company https://pioneerbuildersonline.com/ https://www.youtube.com/c/PioneerBuildersInc ISOtunes Bluetooth Hearing Protection - https://bit.ly/Timmy10 (10% off code: Timmy10) AwesomeFramers hat or anything Truewerk 15% off (use Timmy 15 if the link doesn't show the discount. https://truewerk.com/collections/workwear-shirts-hats/products/trucker-hat-tim-uhler-awesome-framers Check out AwesomeFramers Logo! https://tspr.ng/c/new-awesomeframers-logo badgertoolbelts.com https://www.stabila.com/en-US/products-553/list/lasers.html https://www.stabila.com/en/products/details/lax-300-g-cross-line-plus-plumb-point-laser.html Elbow braces https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010P9Q1FS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&amp;psc=1 #building #construction #framing</description>
