The finer nitrogen bubbles would diffuse throughout the liquid better. This video is a follow up to the video about the Guinness widget that causes nucleation of nitrogen in the draught cans. Several people commented about emulating it in a clear container with a carbonator. The widget is a hollow plastic ball moulded with a weight bias so that one side points down when floating in liquid. That side also has a tiny hole that points out at an angle. When the can is sealed during manufacture, the internal pressure compresses some of the nitrated guinness into the sphere, and when the can is opened the pressure is suddenly released and it causes the sphere to blow out a stream of the nitrogenated guinness. That results in mass nucleation and diffusion of tiny nitrogen bubbles throughout the liquid. Now I just have to work out how to get the widget back out of the carbonation bottle. It was a friction fit through the neck, and pushing it in was easier than getting it back out. I may have to fill the bottle with water and melt a hole in the top of the widget to hook it out.
